On Sunday 26 June 2022, The Friends celebrated their 20th Anniversary. A Summer Celebration in South Park Gardens took place and we were delighted to welcome not only sunshine and good weather but also the Melodians Steel Orchestra again. They delighted the crowds in the Gardens. An eye-catching display of historical and recent photographs of the Gardens was a popular stopping off point for our visitors. The Friends ever popular bar, tea and cakes and plant stall were a sell out – there is a limitless appetite for Pimms, plants and cakes! The Friends partnered with Bliss in the Park, who provided a delicious array of Mauritian style roti and snacks. This event raised valuable funds for South Park Gardens, and every penny raised will be reinvested in South Park Gardens. We are very grateful for the support of the community, many volunteers and Ellisons for sponsorship of this event. Thank you.
